| Keeping in mind all the publicity and media hypes created by Google in the last couple of months or so, chances are that you are already aware of the Google+ project- Google's new venture in the world of social networking.
Google+ is still under its beta testing, and Google is sending only limited invitations to the existing Google users to take part in the project. So, if you have not got your invitation yet, but your friend did, do not be rude on Google, wait for a while, or better still- simply ask your buddy to send you an invitation from his profile. Meanwhile, here is quick look some of the important features in Google+, so that you do not need to sweat over much in getting yourself familiar with the site: Creating your profile: Once you sign up to Google+, which is just a walk in the park and hardly takes more than a minute provided you already have a Google account, the first thing you would probably want to do is edit your profile. Pretty simple- go to your profile by clicking on your name at the top-left corner of the screen, after which click at the Edit Profile button. Adding Connections: Now its time to add your buddies- click on the Add to Friends button on the right hand side of the screen and Google+ will itself suggest you friends from your existing Gmail or other Google account networks. You can also add friends by searching them by name or email ids in the search box in the middle of the screen. Tweaking your settings: Click on the 'option' symbol at the black bar at the top-right corner of the screen- it features all the privacy and other account settings in it which you should probably give a good look at before proceeding any further. Status Updates: send your updates with just one click on the box towards the top of the screen- (beneath Stream) and share your photos, links, videos or texts just the way you do in Facebook. Notifications: Whenever your added to a new circle, or someone shares a post with you, you will be notified by a red number towards the top of the screen.
